# Licenses

ASEE Flow is distributed under the **ASEE Flow Commercial License**, held by [ASEE Software Solutions](https://contentservices.asee.io/asee-software-solutions/#contact-us). The commercial license covers ASEE Flow's own code, modifications, and branding. The open-source components ASEE Flow builds on keep their original licenses, unchanged — see [Open-source components](#open-source-components) below.

## ASEE Flow Commercial License

Use of ASEE Flow is governed by the ASEE Flow Commercial License and your commercial agreement with ASEE Software Solutions.

Under the license you may:

* Use ASEE Flow within the scope of your purchased subscription or agreement (covering the licensed environments, nodes, or seats).

You may not:

* Redistribute or sublicense ASEE Flow's own code outside the terms of your agreement.
* Remove or alter copyright, attribution, or license notices.
* Reverse engineer ASEE Flow, except where applicable law expressly permits it.

ASEE Software Solutions retains all rights to ASEE Flow's own code and modifications. ASEE Flow is provided on the terms set out in your commercial agreement, including its warranty and liability provisions.

For the full license text and commercial terms, contact [ASEE Software Solutions](https://contentservices.asee.io/asee-software-solutions/#contact-us).

## Open-source components

The ASEE Flow Commercial License applies only to ASEE Flow's own code. The components it is built on keep their own licenses and are **not** restricted by the commercial license:

* **Code derived from Camunda Platform 7** (community edition) remains under the [Apache License 2.0](https://www.apache.org/licenses/LICENSE-2.0). ASEE Flow keeps the original copyright and attribution notices and states the changes it makes, as the Apache License requires.
* **Bundled third-party dependencies** keep their respective upstream licenses (Apache 2.0, EPL, MIT, and others). The full per-dependency listing is in the [ASEE Flow License Book](/introduction/third-party-libraries/aseeflow-bpm-platform-license-book).
